He states that “this continued work with official Fashion Weeks worldwide is a huge recognition that our brands quality and product range is well received in the market. We have supported several fashion weeks around the world including Singapore and Mexico. This move into Australia with its support of two key brands is illustration of our phenomenal success.”

The Make Up Store team partnered with four Australian designers to create some stunning makeup looks at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week Spring/Summer 0809. They worked for designers, Gary Bigeni, Nicholas X Morley, bond-eye and Bowie. Here are a selection of the looks:

Gary Bigeni
Make Up Store’s head makeup artist Natasha Severino created an inspiring look for the runway featuring intense brows, and fun lips to liven up the look. The skin was kept simple and luminous for this show.

Reflex Cover, a light reflector and corrector, was used under the eyes to get rid of dark circles and on the eyelid to even out the tone, along with Studio Foundation, a cream foundation which was used all over the face to create the porcelain doll effect. Luminzer in Beam was used through the t-zone and above the cheek bone for natural reflective highlights in shimmers of silver and gold. The eyes were kept basic, once the tone was perfectly even, Crystal Lips in Virgin, a clear lip gloss, was used to give a wet, dewy look on the eyes.

Eyelashes were then curled with Metal Eyelash Curler, to open the eye, and no mascara was applied. Eyebrows were first set in place using Brow Set Fix in Clear. Then the fierce brow was created using Tri Brow, the black shade was mixed with water and used to form striking, thick, defined brows. The form and strength of the brow provided an illusion of a natural shade and the sharpness and depth of colour framed the face.

Lollipop lips were achieved using fantastic bright shades of pink. The Lip Pencil colour Gum was used to trace and colour the lip line, Lipstick in Blush was used to cover the lips, and then Lipgloss Pot in Pop finished the look. The nails matched the lips with Nail Polish shade Elin finishing the look for the show.

Bond-eye
Natural looking, nude faces were the look for the Bond-Eye Spring/Summer Swimwear show. Flawless complexions were achieved using Skin Serum to prime, leaving the canvas smooth and even.

Cover All Mix was used on blemishes, dark circles and imperfections. Liquid Foundation was the perfect choice with its light texture, applied to even out the skin tone and let the natural glow shine through. Micronized Compact Powder Translucent set the foundation, keeping the look light and fresh.

A touch of blush in Lush added a soft glow to the cheeks. The secret to achieving that real fresh glow, was to add a touch of the mineral product Wonder Powder across the cheekbones, forehead, down the nose, and on the tip of the chin, just to catch the light.

Tri Brow was used on the eyebrows, keeping close to the natural shade and creating the perfect arch to enhance the eye.

Eyes were minimal and kept in neutral tones, with Microshadows in Brown Sugar and Velvet, both sporting a slight shimmer to add some glamour to the look. Gel Eyeliner in Black was used on the lash line, with Max Lashes on the eyelashes, making them appear full and voluminous.

To finish off, the lips were simply treated with the Lip Care Mix to ensure they were a picture of health, and then topped off with the Lip Gloss Pot Lot to add a neutral shine.

Bowie
Soft smokey eyes, and bold pink lips were the order of the day. A flawless base was created for this show, using Cover All Mix to hide all blemishes on the face. Matt Foundation was then used to keep the complexion basic and neutral.

The Compact Powder in Translucent was used to set the foundation in place. A slight highlighting of the cheekbone was allowed, using Blush in Sand.

Eyebrows were muted with concealer and powder, allowing the heavy smokey eye to be the prominent feature. Microshadows in Smog, Masai, Ghetto, Deadly and Kakaw were blended on the eyelids and around the upper and lower lash lines to create the feature eye.

The Sensitive Mascara was used on the lashes to further enhance the look.

To finish the lips were lined in Lipliner in the shade of Gum, and filled in using Lipstick in Summer to contrast the dark eye, with a bright hot-pink lip.
