Ocea Beauty Bar wins 2008 National Small Business Champion Award

Adelaide’s Ocea Beauty Bar has been named National Small Business Champion for Beauty Services at the 2008 National Small Business Champion Awards, held at Star City, Sydney on Saturday November 1, 2008.

The national award program recognises achievements and honours great performances in small business; taking into account all aspects of a winning business: business strategies, customer service, vision, support of the local community and growth. The awards were presented to small businesses in 34 categories and two entrepreneur individuals, representing their category against other states and territories on a national level.

Ocea Beauty Bar owner, Ms Ocea Cicchiello said, “Winning this award has not only been exciting but it has been great to receive recognition for starting and growing a small business. I am always busy working in and on the business. This award gave me a moment to stop, enjoy and recognise the growth and success we are experiencing.”

Steve Loe, Managing Director of Precedent Productions, who manage and present the awards, said, “The Small Business Champion Awards is a celebration of small business and its contribution to the Australian way of life. When the judges evaluate a submission, it’s not always about the money. There are many small business owners who will never be millionaires, but whose contribution is invaluable.”

“It’s great to think that my business in Adelaide is worthy of this award and to be compared with other businesses in the Beauty Services around Australia and win is just amazing,” Ocea added.
