A5M and APAN form strategic alliance

[Wed 10/03/2010 11:00:05]

The AustralAsian Academy of Anti-Ageing Medicine (A5M) is joining forces with the Aesthetics Practitioners Advisory Network Pty Ltd (APAN) to host one of the world’s most renowned aesthetics experts, Manon Pilon.

Ms Pilon (pictured left) will visit Australia to present an exclusive Aesthetics and Anti-Ageing Workshop.

The workshop will provide world-class education on the latest aesthetics therapies and anti-ageing medicine. It will also cover relevant career and business development.

APAN Director, Tina Viney, said the alliance would allow aestheticians to become an integral part of the anti-ageing medicine speciality.

“Aestheticians are at the forefront of beauty and with the right anti-ageing education they can help their clients achieve true wellness from within,” Ms Viney said. “Industry research indicates that many aesthetic businesses and practitioners are seeking ways to integrate internal wellness to support aesthetic outcomes.

“Manon Pilon is an international expert on integrating aesthetics with Anti-Ageing Medicine and APAN is proud to host her 2010 visit to Australia.”

A5M President, Dr Michael Zacharia said the alliance with APAN would help advance anti-ageing medicine into the aesthetics and medispa industry.

“A5M’s alliance with APAN is key to educating front-line aestheticians and their clients about the importance of internal wellness to your cosmetic ‘beauty’,” Dr Zacharia said. “APAN is one of the most respected organisations for aestheticians in Australasia so it makes sense for A5M to partner with it in such a prestigious event.

“A5M believes that aestheticians, naturopaths, dieticians, doctors, surgeons and other health
professionals all play a vital role in the anti-ageing medicine speciality.

“Our aim is for practitioners to form long-lasting partnerships in caring for their patients and clients. Ultimately, this will be beneficial for practitioners and for their patients.”

Dr Zacharia said the conference will demonstrate how to integrate internal medicine into aesthetics practices and showcase the latest trends in aesthetics.

The 4th Annual 2010 Conference in Anti-Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine in Melbourne on August 20 to 22 will focus on ‘prevention’ and the interdependence of aesthetic beauty and internal health.
