Bodyography Backs Youth With Mental Disorders

Bodyography Cosmetics sponsored Fashion Aid for its fourth consecutive year, raising money for not-for-profit organisation, Love Me Love You, committed to the prevention, intervention and control of youth mental disorders in Australia.

Did you know that one in every 30 young people will attempt suicide? Or that a whopping one in four young Australians live with a mental illness, and of those, only seven per cent will seek professional help?

These are just some of the alarming facts about youth mental issues today; and a few of the many reasons organisations like not-for-profit Love Me Love You – aimed at helping young people with mental disorders – exist.

Now in its fourth year thanks to continued success, this year’s Fashion Aid, held to raise money for Love Me Love You, was an extravaganza of fashion, food and sophisticated diversions. Designers included Calibre, Sara Fox, Sheep Shearer, Connie Simonetti, Alannah Hill and Matcho Suba.

Showing their support backstage, the Bodyography artistic team 12 artists donated their time for the worthy cause. Bodyography makeup artists completed the makeup for 30 models for the main catwalk parade, as well as dancers, entertainers and VIPs.

The looks for the evening consisted of three separate styles for different groups. For the first look, models were given a black cat eye with contoured cheeks in Bodyography’s Sand Dune Expresssions and bold red lips.

Look two was all about being natural, with bold mascara, coutoured cheeks with a natural lip gloss. The final look, for the men, was a rugged masculine look, using bronzer for contouring and Bodyography 070 Every Finish powders.
