About the compacts
Apart from the need to have a beautiful compact, there were four things in mind for the new compact; sustainability, durability, refills and weight.
After experimenting with different materials, jane iredale have converted to anodized aluminium. Anodizing has been called the ‘green,’ or environmentally friendly fi nish as the anodizing process releases few toxins into the environment, uses almost no heavy metals, and uses chemicals and metals that are recycled easily. Finished products made from anodized aluminium are non-toxic and can be recycled over and over again.
The new design also accommodates refills (packaged in clamshells) which are manufactured from 100% recycled “post-consumer” material. The clamshells are bar coded with all product detail printed on the outer surface, further eliminating the need for additional print materials.
