Bodyography and Sumita make up 300 Miss Universe hopefuls

Bodyography and Sumita makeup artists have made up the faces of 300 Miss Universe hopefuls around the country in the lead-up to this month’s crowning of Miss Universe Australia 2017.

The team of ‘’approximately 60 makeup artists” prepared 24 contestants in the seven state finals and then accompanied the 32 winners to Bali for the filming of the ‘Road to Miss Universe Australia’ TV special.

Bodyography director Rob Tamburro said the team of makeup artists, led by Alarna Bell from Kolorz N Klawz salon in Victoria, worked tirelessly to ensure that the contestants looked their best.

Rob, who was also a judge at each state final and will be a judge at the national final, said that despite all the hard work, the brand’s sponsorship of the event (which commenced with Miss Universe Australia 2016) was worth it.

“The sponsorship has really placed the Bodyography and Sumita brands on a higher platform due to all the exposure they have received,” he said.

“It was by no means a small feat as we were there at every event throughout the entire process in each state but it gave us an opportunity to work alongside 72 beautiful and intelligent women to promote beauty and empower women to be the best that they can be giving them the confidence to take on any role professionally or personally in their lives.

“ It is also  great that we have these 72 women working for us as brand ambassadors promoting Bodyography and Sumita on social media in everything they do as they document every step of the Miss Universe Australia journey.”

He said the sponsorship was also important for the brand’s stockists as well as potential stockists “that are interested in the brand” as it “shows them just how much we are out there getting brand recognition”.

Apart from Bodyography and Sumita, the Miss Universe entrants’ “glam squad” also included Bondi Sands Professional Spray Tans, Puresmile teeth whitening and DNA Organics hair products.

The Bodygraphy and Sumita team of “around 15 makeup artists” will work backstage at the Miss Universe Australia Final on June 29 at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins.
