A collaboration made in beauty and fashion heaven – M.A.C teamed up with fashion house Proenza Schouler for a 2014 spring collection.
The collection is to be released online and globally in April. Limited edition and high anticipated, you can expect to see M.A.C’s flair with colour mixed with Proenza Schouler’s modern take on structural-cool. Extending their backstage relationship to the counters, this strategic alliance brings forth the best of both worlds.
James Gager, creative director and senior vice president of M.A.C said: “we’ve worked together backstage creating beauty looks for their runway shows for many years and it has been fascinating for me to watch them evolve.”
“They have a very particular perspective on their makeup look each season. It’s been a great experience collaborating with them to bring their beauty vision off the runway to our customers.”
Beauty plays a significant role in Proenza Schouler catwalks, according to Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernadez from the fashion house. “We wanted to create something that the Proenza Schouler woman could relate to off the runway, and the M.A.C brand is so deeply rooted in fashion that we knew they would understand our vision,” they said.
The collection will include: Ombre Face Powders, Lipsticks, Pro Longwear Eye Liners, Lip Pencils, Nail Lacquers and 129SE Powder Brush.
