After 18 years in the tanning industry, Solaire has undergone an extensive rebranding exercise to ensure the brand image is in-line with its new vision.
Starting from humble beginnings in Collingwood Victoria as a tanning company, Solaire has since grown into a brand that offers wax, mineral makeup, skincare, hair care and equipment – as well as owning its own manufacturing facilities in Australia.
Starting the company as a young lad, Adam Taylor chose the previous marketing to cater to the market back then. “Since then I have matured, and so has the company – so it was time to reflect that in our marketing,” he said.
The new rebranding includes a change to the brand’s tagline, from “a spray tan for everybody” to “a product for everybody” in order to include Solaire’s expanded range of products.
New branding also includes the brand logo which changed to “Solaire – The Professional Resource Centre”. This change commenced at the Sydney International Beauty Expo along with the new ‘chocolategirl” marketing images.
“The feedback has been amazing, so many salons have commented on the new look that radiates luxurious velvety body products and a chocolatey spray tan colour. The website has also undergone significant changes, especially in terms of information and education,” said Adam.
In 2014, Solaire will be revealing their new spray tan packaging – so stay tuned!
