Professional Beauty magazine has won Best Business-to-Business Magazine of the Year for the second year in a row at the annual Publishers Australia Excellence Awards – Bell ‘09’.
The awards luncheon was held on Friday, November 13 at the newly opened Doltone House, Darling Island Wharf venue, and was attended by more than 500 publishing industry executives.
Professional Beauty Managing Editor, Sarah Bowing, said she was delighted that the title was recognised for the second year running. “The win cements Professional Beauty’s position as the premier trade title for the beauty industry and recognises its dedication and expertise in servicing this dynamic market,” she said.
“While the effects of the global financial crisis were felt across the entire aesthetics field, Professional Beauty weathered the storm comparatively well, something I attribute to our team’s solid understanding of the market and ability to tailor responses to all client requests – advertising and editorial – on an individual basis. We also have been able to tap into the wants and needs of our readership and deliver effective, required reading through the contributions of some of the most sought-after specialists in the national and international beauty industry.”
The Intermedia Group, publishers of Professional Beauty magazine, also won in the Best Magazine Re-launch category, with Spice magazine, and received a runner-up honour in the Best Magazine Launch category for Australian Advanced Aesthetics.
The Bell Awards acknowledge the talent, expertise and outstanding achievement in all facets of print publishing and digital media in Australia each year.
