Hairdressing salons, beauty therapists and day spas all over Australia have joined forces this month in a new and exciting national charity drive that involves hosting fun events and recycling old gold jewellery for a good cause.
With over 60 salons and beauticians now participating, The Golden Cause presents a unique opportunity for beauty professionals to host intimate events for their clients, to turn unwanted or broken gold jewellery into cash for their guests and at the same time raise funds for a charity of their choice.
The Golden Cause team do all the hard work, organising beautiful invitations, providing champagne and nibbles and organising a professional gold assessor to be on-site at the party to weigh the unwanted gold and organise payment for guests.
After a few hours of fun and champagne, guests are paid premium prices for their gold and the Golden Cause also donates an additional 10 per cent on top of the total payout to a charity or cause of the salons choice.
“The value of gold is currently at a ten-year high. This means just one tablespoon of gold could equate to $500 cash for your client and $50 towards your nominated charity.
