New CID Cosmetics and Alterna Haircare are the official hair and makeup sponsors for The Spirit of the Black Dress event to be held in Melbourne next week.
As part of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival’s cultural program, The Spirit of the Black Dress event is now its third year.
It aims to celebrate Australia’s budding fashion designers. Designers are given the task of designing the iconic black dress.
10 finalists are then chosen to feature in a beautiful photographic exhibition, gala evening and fashion parade.
The creative director for the event is Kirsten Reynolds and with a team of stylists to take over backstage, hair by Alterna and makeup by New CID Cosmetics will be both on-trend and inspirational for the autumn/winter season.
Since its beginnings in 2006, New CID Cosmetics has grown exponentially all over the world. Starting with only five products, the range has now grown to include over 80 products and is manufactured in the UK, US and Italy.
Sold in Australia’s best salons, Alterna pioneered new categories in hair care, from creating the first hemp-based line to the first anti-ageing science for hair collection. It's also endorsed by international celebrity stylist Michael Shaun Corby and Australia’s own Dario Cotroneo.
