When Medik8 trainer, Alison Wait, visited Australia earlier this month to present Advanced Training Seminars, she delivered more than participants bargained for.
Ask most therapists to describe a training seminar and they’ll readily tell you – it’s usually a painful day crammed with uninspiring lectures that make time seem to move at a snails pace and leave you feeling, well, a little ‘blerg’.
So when international guest Alison Wait fronted up with her trademark enthusiasm and zest for making beauty fun, Medik8 training seminar participants were pleasantly surprised.
“Alison has a comprehensive knowledge of the industry and is incredibly focused in her training style and doesn’t digress. Although she trains at a high level she always ensured the delegates were following and understanding the presentation,” says Advanced Cosmeceuticals managing director, Catherine Biedermann.
With over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, Wait wasn’t short of new concepts to deliver during the day, enlightening participants on the importance of vitamins C and A in skincare, and function of vitamin E.
“It was a very informative day and I have absolutely gained some great tips to continue to use and retail Medik8 products with confidence and enthusiasm” says attendee Eliza Rush of Flawless Rejuvenation Skin Clinic in Victoria.
While the seminars focused on Medik8 treatments, the latest product launches and reformulated products were also a key highlight in the presentation of Medik8’s extensive retinol range, which includes Retinol 0.3, 0.6 – launched in August this year – and the new 1%, soon to be launched in Australia.
Wait also educated attendees on the technology developed by Medik8 to ensure stability of retinol in their products.
Product innovation was another area of particular interest during the day, with the newly formulated Dark Circles product used to demonstrate how the brand can target and treat the underlying causes of tired looking eyes.
Delegates also had the unique opportunity to hear directly from owners of Medik8 clinics from each state, who all shared their own Medik8 experiences.
Overall the seminars successfully achieved a renewed passion for the Medik8 brand, along with increased knowledge of the products and a better understanding of how to recommend the best combination of skincare for various skin types, according to Aleisha Fowler of Saya Beaute Bar in Victoria, who summed it up best when she said:
“Loved today! Thank you so much! Can’t wait for the next one!”
