APFA have elected a new team structure following the organisation's annual general meeting which was held recently in Watsons Bay, Sydney.
The newly selected APFA team and its new positions include Karen Peppercorn as president and Carl Anderson as vice president.
Simon Peppercorn will be looking after multiple APFA portfolios as secretary, treasurer and compliance manager, while Maureen Worrall will act as the APFA educator.
The APFA offers Australian training schools and technicians accreditation and, as compliance manager, Simon Peppercorn will be in charge of training and assessment.
Maureen Worrall is APFAs highest ranking judge, and is also the creator of Avolve Acrylic System. Maureen’s position of educator was created so that APFA can offer pre-competition training days, demonstrations and master classes for all Australian technicians.

APFA president Karen Peppercorn has stated that she is thrilled to be leading the APFA team.
"With all the technology available at our fingertips, the electronic communication tools and thriving online communities, this is an exciting time to be leading the APFA team. The past few months have seen a surge in new memberships, as technicians around the country recognise the positive work APFA is doing for the industry, whilst backed by a strong team of professionals.”
“With a focus on skills development and improvements in training standards, we will promote nationally recognised qualifications in nail technology for all technicians. We are also building on our public awareness campaigns, helping to educate clients on the importance of visiting technicians and salons who care about standards in hygiene, safety and quality services.”
“The next 12 to 18 months will be a busy time for APFA and its members, and I look forward to working with our council and committee in delivering significant and positive outcomes for all APFA members,” said Peppercorn.
