Fake Bake introduces a third tanning agent

Fake Bake is excited to announce the introduction of the new tanning agent, DHI to its exclusive Fake Bake tanning formula.

In 1995, Fake Bake was the first self-tan to combine the two tanning agents – DHA and Erythulose to create the popular fake tanning formula, and this year, Fake Bake has introduced a third tanning agent – DMI.

DMI (Dimethyl Isosorbide) is a new booster ingredient, which is formulated to improve the performance and delivery of DHA, making it penetrate faster and deeper into layers of the stratum corneum, resulting in a deeper, longer-lasting tan.

The improved distribution of DHA throughout the stratum corneum also results in a more even colour and helps to minimise streaking.

“Once again Fake Bake pioneers the industry by bringing this unique triple tan formula to the market. Fake Bake is continuously researching and improving products and this new booster ingredient will speed up the tan development and will ensure a deeper richer tan, which will last longer,” said Sharon Blockley, Director of Fake Bake Australia.

She further explained, “DMI is included not only in our professional spray and application formulas but also in our original tanning lotion, airbrush and mousse. These are exciting times at Fake Bake and there is much more to come in the very near future.”
