Industry leader Clinical Therapies & Laser Institute have launched their Graduate Diploma in Cosmetic Laser and Dermal Therapies course and are awaiting accreditation.
Designed to provide an industry standard in laser and dermal therapies, the course aims to instruct previously uneducated therapists on how to conduct these new age treatments safely and effectively.
“The rise in popularity of laser and IPL based beauty treatments and tattooing in the currently unregulated environment national, in which individuals can both purchase equipment and apply such therapies, means there is an increased risk for consumers,” says Clinical Therapies Laser Institute spokesperson Metro-Dora Clifford.
“We believe our 30 plus years of training experience and expertise will help establish this course as an accredited benchmark for the industry.”
The course is targeted at medical, healthcare and dermal beauty clinicians and staff who require licensing from various governing bodies to conduct a variety of laser-based therapies and applications.
The course includes all the skills and requirements that were taught in the Graduate Certificate in Intense Pulsed Light and Laser Hair Reduction, so all new students will fulfill the national requirements of regulating bodies.
Focusing on IPL and laser safety, dermal needling, non-invasive skin lesion removal, Q-Switched laser techniques and light based therapies, the course also covers fractionated laser and RF resurfacing skin rejuvenation methods and the correct application of various enzyme and chemical peels.
Accreditation for the course is dependent on the number of student submissions, with Clinical Therapies & Laser Institution offering Professional Beauty readers a special member’s rate if the program becomes accredited.
