Skin Fairy takes home DMK award

Perth’s Skin Fairy Clinic was named the National Clinic of the Year at DMK’s 2017 Awards Gala in Sydney – for the second year in a row.

Carmen Anuriw, who also won Player of the Year Award in this year’s Skin Games in the US and DMK Therapist of the Year in 2016, opened her Nedlands’ clinic in early 2015.

Anuriw obtained her CIDESCO International Beauty Diploma in 2006 and then studied at the Steiner Academy in London before beginning her career with Royal Caribbean Luxury Cruises. On her return to Australia in 2010 she completed an Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science at the Australian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science and then began work in a cosmetic medical practice for five years before opening her winning salon.

Speaking at the Studio 54-themed Gala Event, she said the key to her salon’s success was simple: “We love what we do.”

Asked why she chose to use DMK products in her salon, she said: “I have worked with DMK my entire professional career 13 years and counting.

“I wouldn’t work with anything else – it has 40 years behind it and is pure magic!”

DMK founder Danné Montague-King said the standard of entries at this year’s awards had “been raised yet again, with more clinics developing their expertise and achieving unparalleled results for their clients”.

“It is inspiring to work alongside such dedicated and committed people,” he said.

“Since I was young I always have known I would create something, but I never could imagine how my concept of Remove, Rebuild, Protect and Maintain has grown and how meaningful and incredible it would be.

“I am truly humbled and feel validated by tonight’s showcase of Australia’s amazing talents and passion for the DMK concept.”
