The Australasian College Broadway has announced it is offering free treatments to the public as it launches its second term.
College CEO, Ms. Maureen Houssein-Mustafa said, “This is an exciting year for us as we’ve just completed an extension, making our college a three million dollar state-of-the-art custom-built facility, which will allow over 750 students to study a variety of hair and beauty qualifications and commence a fabulous career in a thriving industry.
“In order for our students to acquire ample practical skills they are taught from a very early stage of their course how to work with clients. We invite members of the public to make an appointment at their leisure and enjoy free treatments that are carefully supervised by our highly skilled teaching staff. We have an established clientele who love our services; however with additional students we now have the capacity to pamper even more people,” Ms. Houssein-Mustafa said.
The college estimated that the average woman spends over $500 per month on treatments.
Established in 1994, The Australasian College Broadway is wholly Australian owned and offers nails, beauty, makeup and hairdressing qualifications all under one roof.
The college is open throughout the week and on weekends for free treatments including haircuts, manicures, pedicures, artificial nails, waxing and tinting, with only a nominal fee for product heavy services such as facials, massages, hair colouring, perms, hair straightening, sets, re-styling, makeup and makeovers. Treatments are available to both women and men.
The college estimates that its students perform an average of 520 treatments per week and use around 8,000 bottles of shampoo each year. Students and their teachers have worked with some famous faces, including Big Brother and Australian Idol contestants. They are also involved with The Deadly’s Indigenous Awards, and will continue this association in 2009 and beyond.
A Registered Training Organisation accredited by VETAB (NSW Vocational Education & Training Accreditation Board), the college delivers over ten nationally endorsed qualifications.
