The AustralAsian Academy of Anti-Ageing Medicine (A5M) is now an Accredited Education Provider under the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
A5M Chairman, Bill Anton said A5M educators recently underwent extensive testing to obtain Accredited Provider Status for the RACGP Quality Assurance and Continuing Professional Development (QA & CPD) program.
“RACGP members who practice internal medicine as well as aesthetic medicine can now earn required professional development points while training in anti-ageing, regenerative and functional medicine,” Mr Anton said.
“Anti-ageing medicine is the world’s fastest growing medical specialty, with the market expected to reach nearly USD$72 billion this year,” he added. “A5M offers quality clinical training by recognised experts in the field of anti-ageing, functional and nutritional medicine.
The upcoming A5M 2009 Conference in Melbourne will feature world-renowned speakers in anti-ageing medicine including Dr Bob Goldman, Chairman of the World Academy of Anti-Ageing Medicine, Dr Ron Rothenberg, pioneer in Interventional Endocrinology, Manon Pilon, world medispa expert and Dr Greg Petersburg, expert in setting up profitable anti-ageing practices.

The RACGP QA & CPD program aims to ensure all GPs are provided with opportunities to participate in high quality educational activities that emphasise patient safety.
A minimum of 130 points is required for each triennium and must include two Category 1 activities, and completion of a basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course. Points will be allocated for all A5M events.
