The unique three-step Aspect Professional Power Peel system contains a powerful blend of kojic acid, mandelic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, retinol and emblica. The actives work synergistically to deliver improved skin texture, clarity and visibly brighter skin. But it’s not for the faint of heart or delicate of skin, with a whopping 50% glycolic in step one!
It’s three treaments (two in clinic and one at home) spaced six weeks apart with an Aspect Professional Medifacial recommended 7 to 10 days after step one. It’s one level down from the physician-only Aspect Professional 60% lactobotancial peel offered by the brand, so you don’t need a medical-degree to administer it.
If the before-and-after pics are anything to go by, it’ll leave clients with brighter, clearer skin but they’ll need to put in work at home before and after treatment and aren’t ideal candidates if they have: thin, fragile skin; sensitive skin, pregnant or breastfeeding women: those with aspirin or nut allergies. Read on to find out who it is suitable for and what clients can expect.
PB: What is it? Can you describe the product and the treatment?
“Aspect Power Peel is a unique three step peel system that contains a powerful blend of actives including Kojic Acid, Mandelic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Retinol and Emblica that work synergistically to deliver improved skin texture, clarity and visibly brighter skin.
This three-step professional peel system uses a multi-acid approach to effectively help reduce the appearance of dark spots and premature ageing from UV sun damage. The 2-step intensive clinical treatment is enhanced by the innovative third step take-home product, ensuring optimal results with minimal downtime.”
PB: Who is this peel treatment best for?
“It is most suitable for those wanting to kickstart their skin transformation. It is suitable for skin those with ageing concerns, thickened or sun-damaged skin, pigmentation, dullness, uneven texture, or excess oil”
PB: What sort of results will clients see after this peel?
“Client benefits include visibly reduced lines and wrinkles, smooth texture, even skin tone and a youthful glow. We recommend a course of three treatments for optimal results.”
PB: What is the advised aftercare? We’re betting there’s some downtime after this one.
“We have specialised aftercare kits that are ideal post treatment. These are the Aspect and Aspect Dr Soothing Skin Kits. These kits include essential products to calm and support the skin. In addition to this, we recommend using either the Aspect Super PD Complex or Aspect Dr Optiboost Complex along with a pigment inhibitor such as the Aspect Pigment Punch + or Aspect Dr Complete Pigment Plus. Sunscreen is also crucial post treatment.“
PB: How can salons, spas and skin clinics add it to their offering?
- A 30-Day Treatment – An AST first, the take home step allows for prolonged delivery of key active ingredients, extending results beyond the treatment room and achieving dramatic changes for your clients.
- Improve the effects of summer in winter – The powerful blend of actives comprising of Kojic Acid, Mandelic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Retinol and Emblica work synergistically to dramatically reduce the appearance of dark spots and visible signs of ageing induced by UV exposure.
- Increased rebooking rate – A three step peel that amplifies client results, driving return visits, word of mouth and new customers.
PB: What is the recommended pricing for this treament?
“$300-$350 per treatment.”
PB: What do the team at All Saints (where it launched) have to say about it?
“We are really excited to exclusively launch the Aspect Power Peel at All Saint Clinic, as it offers our clients the next-level peel and our dermal therapists find it especially effective for sun damage and pigmentation,” says Dr. Joseph Hkeik.
“We have a long-standing relationship with the Aspect team and this efficacious new treatment is accompanied by an important before and after care programme to deliver the best possible results.”
PB: Where else will it be available and when?
