Face masks are multipurpose — they’re a treatment in a bottle, a quick-fix before a night-out, a relaxing companion after a busy week. Professional Beauty spoke to Pauline Valle, Creator of Ultraderm about the importance of face masks and their place in skincare regimens.
“Facial masks are a complementary product to round off a skincare regimen,” said Pauline. “They deliver an intense infusion of skin boosting ingredients in a short amount of time. In addition, face masks also maintain and prolong the results of salon treatments.”
There are different types of face masks: sheet masks, wash-off masks, sleep masks. And each kind targets a distinct skin issue.
“For example, an overnight leave-on mask will boost skin hydration levels during and post application, providing a longer lasting result,” said Pauline.
She added, “Due to the fact that masks are left on for a period of time they can be used to provide a self-care experience to pamper oneself — which makes them essential service in my opinion!”
Pauline also advised that people typically use face masks once or twice a week, but that individual mask types will have recommended usages. She also spoke about the Ultraderm Nightshift Resurfacing Mask in depth.
“Our masks are specifically designed to improve skin clarity and texture, promote collagen production and cellular turnover, boost hydration, and strengthen barrier function,” she said.
