Artificial intelligence and the beauty industry may not seem like natural bedfellows. But according to market intelligence research, the global size of AI in the beauty and cosmetics market is expected to reach US$13.34 billion by 2030.
In fact, the beauty industry has long been at the cutting edge as a sector that embraces innovation. From beauty tech devices to virtual shopping tools, digital skin analysis, personalisation and virtual “try on” apps, there are a huge number of ways tech solutions are helping the beauty and cosmetics industry thrive.
AI on the agenda
It is no surprise then that AI is on the agenda. Japanese beauty company Shiseido is already ahead of the curve, developing an AI-driven skincare advisor, which is capable of analysing your complexion, before giving you a list of products that will work for you.
Despite the fact that new research from Advertising Week APAC (AWAPAC) has found that 75% of Australians are worried about the impact of adopting AI at work, the technology looks like it is going nowhere fast.
And for those working within the beauty sector, generative AI tools can also be a good way to give them a leg up the job ladder.

1. Writing your CV
Doing your CV is definitely one of the more painful parts of job hunting. Most people tend to let it gather dust in between roles and updating it before you apply for a job can be so off-putting, you might think about simply not bothering.
