Cosmetex 2013 is underway, taking place in Melbourne over the next few days. It is the largest scientific congress in Australasia devoted exclusively to cosmetic medicine and cosmetic surgery. This year will see a number of fanastic speakers from across the globe. Here, cosmetic dermatologist, Dr Raj Aquilla, a key opinion leader in the use of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, who lectures and presents masterclasses all over the world, takes five minutes to talk to us.
How does attending events like Cosmetex inform or relate to your current practice?
Cosmetex has a formidable reputation for being at the forefront of medical aesthetic education. It is an honour to be invited to speak here and I’m sure I will learn as much as I teach during the congress.
Why should your presentations not be missed?
I have been fortunate enough to be mentored by some of the finest injectors in the world and I hope to share the latest thinking and most innovative techniques in facial aesthetics.
What topics and presentations by other delegates are you interested in attending?
It has be Arthur Swift’s use of the calipers when assessing and beautifying the face…the man is a genius and a pleasure to watch. The three Arthur Swift lectures will be a must see.
What are you most looking forward to about Cosmetex 2013?
Meeting my friends and colleagues from Australia and all over the world…sharing knowledge and application is always an absolute pleasure.
What else are you looking forward to about your trip to Melbourne, Australia?
I have some friends to meet and places to see before teaching in Sydney. Then, I will be on my way to London for the UK Master Class series with Mauricio de Maio, April 22nd – 26th.
