Candela is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Gentle Series lasers with a 20 percent discount sale for beauty clinics.
Launched into Australia in 1998, the Gentle series lasers are among the first medical aesthetic lasers to be introduced into the country and are still Candela’s most popular devices.
According to Mathew Green, the managing director of Candela Australia, the key to the lasers’ ongoing success despite the introduction of many other onto the market is the fact that the Gentle lasers are the “Gold Standard for laser hair removal in all Fitzpatrick skin types” and can also treat a range of other aesthetic issues including pigmentation, spider veins and vascular lesions.
And although the Gentle Series has been available for 20 years, Mathew stresses that the lasers have evolved since their launch.
“We haven’t been selling the same device for 20 years,” he says.
“The Gentle Pro Series is now in its fifth generation and includes three devices – Gentle Max Pro (a dual 755 nm Alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser), Gentle Lase Pro (755 nm Alexandrite laser) and Gentle YAG Pro (1064 nm Nd:YAG laser).
“The lasers are now smaller, easier to use, quieter, more reliable, easier to service, faster, more comfortable, more powerful and more effective (so clients get their desired results with less treatments).
Furthermore Mathew is confident that the Gentle series will, “without a doubt”, still be the Gold Standard in another 20 years.
“The Gentle Series has been installed in over 20,000 clinics in 86 countries around the world,” he says.
“It’s peerless.
“Most of our competitors have given up even investing in R&D for their laser hair removal devices due to Candela’s unparalleled expertise in the category.
“We however plan to continue to improve the device with R&D and new features.”
