Ainhoa Cosmetics Australia recently released an e-commerce site with a profit-sharing scheme for salons.
This is a refreshing initiative from Ainhoa founder June Wilde, who understands the threat of online discount websites to traditional beauty salons. “I always promised my salons that our products would be discount-free, in order to extend brand awareness within Australia, I wanted to go online, but I was determined to assist salons with this move,” said June.
The new e-commerce website is designed to maintain Ainhoa’s loyal salon accounts whilst allowing the brand to enter the retail market. Salons will be able to create accounts, order online and access Ainhoa training videos and marketing material. Retail customers will be able to browse the site and purchase products directly.
“Unlike other e-commerce sites, online profits will be divided amongst our salon client base,” June said.
The profits from website sales will go to salons ordering Ainhoa, proportionate to the salon spend. Hearing positive feedback already, June is already receiving praise from her stockists.
Lauren Street from No 4 Face and Body loves the accessibility of the new site: “the website allows me to order professional stock in my own time frame. My staff can also watch training material in quite times and I love that I am able to access photographic material to assist marketing.”
