Aveda Australia has raised over $50,000 in April for Earth Month, raising awareness and funds for WaterAid Australia.
Earth Month is an opportunity for Aveda to bring their mission to life by uniting for a single cause – to protect clean water. Aveda Australia is pleased to have raised over $50,000 for local charity partner WaterAid Australia – a non-profit organisation that transforms lives by improving access to sage water, hygiene and sanitation.
During the month of April, Aveda salons hosted charity events to support this cause. Element Aveda Lifetyle salon in Subiaco in Perth hosted a Catwalk-For-Water fashion extravaganza. Sulis House of Lush in Byron Bay performed a Cut-A-Thon (world record attempts) and donated 50% of all profits.
Salons also participated in Walk for Water on April 13 where they completed 6km walks.
More than $25,000 was also generated through the sale of Aveda Light the Way candles.
Globally, Aveda supports Earth Month initiatives in over 30 countries, and since 1999 has raised more than $32 million to help support organisations that directly affect environmental change.
