On Tuesday 19th November, The Australasian College Broadway announced its scholarship recipients at the annual Dress For Success Christmas Cocktail event.
Held in Sydney at GHD Castlereagh Street, the event was attended by more than 100 people who came together to celebrate the lucky scholarship recipients who will be attending The Australasian College Broadway to study hair, beauty and makeup.
Nahji Chu, founder and creative director of Miss Chu was guest speaker for the night and also provided the catering – she supplied guests with her infamous rice paper rolls.
As a part of the college’s ongoing relationship with Dress For Success Sydney (DFSS), 3 members of the charity foundation were awarded with scholarships valued at more than $30,000 each.
The college’s partnership with DFSS aims to enhance and improve the lives of disadvantaged women in Sydney, helping them to be self-sufficient by providing them with access to education and resources.
Two of the recipients to the scholarships were Kiera Lee Dobbie and Mereana Gage – who both dream of one day becoming a celebrity stylist.
The third recipient cannot be announced due to personal reasons.
