Do you have a flair for makeup? Dates for CIDESCO’s 64th World Congress and Exhibition in Ireland have been announced – and entries for the international makeup competition is now open to students and professionals.
CIDESCO has launched its 64th international makeup competition to identify and reward the best makeup artists in the world.
Taking place on 26th September 2016 at the 64th CIDESCO World Congress in Dublin, Ireland, the theme of this year’s competition is ‘Myths and Legends of the World Unite’. The competition allows for fantasy and prosthetic makeup and body art (entrants are allowed a maximum of 3 prosthetic attachments) and encourages the use of wardrobe, hairstyling and props.
Attracting hundreds of competitors annually, the competition runs for five hours with a two minute presentation for each entrant to explain their work, this competition is a real opportunity for budding makeup artists wanting to launch their career, and professionals keen for a platform to boost their profile.
To register, each competitor must submit a brief synopsis of their interpretation of the theme: ‘Myths & Legends of the World Unite’ which should include a picture or sketch.
