Celebrity makeup artist Dale Dorning has been nominated as finalist for Makeup Artist of the Year at the 2014 AHFAs.
The Australian Hair Fashion Awards Gala Event will be held on the 31st of March at The Ivy Grand Ballroom. The AHFAs is an annual event judged by a panel of UK’s leading hairdressers and makeup artists for editorial work that translates international hair and makeup trends into wearable looks. Entries are evaluated on their creative direction, inspirational effect, superb imagery and consumer credibility.
“What an incredible honour to be nominated a finalist for Makeup Artist of the Year for the second consecutive year – Australian makeup artists truly represent some of the best in the world,” said Dale Dorning.
These awards not only recognise the talent that exists in Australia but also allows the country’s best artists to gather and inspire each other with their work.
“This [nomination] reinforces my passion for makeup and the importance of technical excellence across all aspects of makeup artistry,” Dale said.
“I really enjoy working in Australia and through my education courses I know I am contributing to the industry and keeping our industry relevant and ensuring future artists are fully equipped and technically advanced.”
