On his recent trip to Sydney, Dr Ronald Roy spoke about his research on DNA technology and epidermal growth factors (EGF).
Dr Ronald Moy’s extensive research led to the development of his DNAEGF Renewal range that claims to repair DNA damage and reprogram skin to behave, look and feel younger. A bold claim, but one based on 25 years of clinical studies on DNA technology and epidermal growth factors (EGF).
Dr Moy was a keynote speaker at the one-day workshop at Sydney’s Hilton Hotel hosted by Advanced Cosmeceuticals, Australian distributors of DNAEGF Renewal. He provided photographic and clinical evidence of the product’s effectiveness and confidently told the audience of doctors, nurses, skincare clinicians and media in Sydney on August 28 that skincare containing DNA repair enzymes used in alliance with EGF heralds an important new age of anti-ageing.
“Skincare promoting stem cells and antioxidants as the active ingredients has been a brilliant marketing strategy,” Dr Moy said. “They might feel good and provide hydration and mop up small-time pollutants but they do not reverse skin damage.”
“For instance, the stem cells used in these products are derived from anything from apples to rice – these have no relevance to, or impact on human stem cells.”
Dr Moy’s range contains high concentrations of DNA repair enzymes engineered from marine and botanical sources to enable fresh young cells to proliferate and encourage the recognition and elimination of DNA damage.
“The way our DNA is structured makes it incredibly susceptible to damage,” Dr Moy said. “So any environmental pollutants and photo damage in conjunction with our natural ageing process will lead to DNA damage. This means thinning skin, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots and uneven skin tone, as well as the potential for more serious conditions like skin cancers or tumours.”
Dr Moy has likened the results of the range to that of an IPL “photo facial” treatment in that brown spots and thin skin (causing blood vessels) are prevented and treated.
DNAEGF Renewal features seven products: Growth Factor Serum, Intensive Renewal, Night Renewal, Eye Renewal, a moisturiser with sun protection, Foaming Cleanser and Scar Therapy.
Dr Moy is a past-president of the American Academy of Dermatology and now has a cosmetic surgery practice on Los Angeles’ famous Rodeo Drive, specialising in facial plastic surgery and skin cancer surgery. He is also a professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has published more than 200 articles on cosmetic and dermatologic surgery.
