Sydney’s Paddington has been treated to the first Australian Dessange salon. Dessange salons are a beauty escape that offer a range of services including hair, beauty treatments and make up.
Dessange began in the 1950s in Paris when Jacques Dessange crowned a new generation of emancipated women by creating original and liberating beauty. His rise to fame came from his “Coiffé-Décoiffé” (bed-head-hair) technique that reinvented hairdressing.
The brand has a network of over 400 salons in 40 countries. The luxury franchise focuses on offering a beauty experience that brings forth the unique individual behind every woman. The Dessange brand is about holistic beauty: elegant hairstyles, radiant skin and sophisticated makeup.
At the Sydney Dessange, the interior has been carefully designed to create an intimate and elegant space with soft tones of black, white and champagne. Located on Oxford Street in Paddington, the three-storey space is large, modern and built with a view of Centennial Park in mind. The salon includes a beauty advice space, Hair Spa and exclusive VIP floor.

Dessange also offers a range of cosmetic products. Beauty ETC is the Australian distributor of Dessange cosmetics. A range of professional products that are exclusive to the Dessange Beauty Salon, it is a skincare range that “answers the needs of the most demanding skins,” according to Sylvain.
On top of the skincare range, Dessange also launches two makeup collections per year in line with its hair collections.
The future of the Dessange franchise looks promising as it plans to open more salons in the main metropolitan cities of Australia.
