The Gold Coast Training Academy has been renamed The French Beauty Academy to better reflect the institutions’s fresh vision.
The GCTA was established just under 30 years ago and its long-standing reputation as a quality education institution is testament to academy director Sherelle French’s commitment to women’s education.
“Soon after I took over the Academy, it became apparent to me that there was a significant gap between what training colleges teach and what our industry needs. I began listening to salon, spa and wellness practitioners all around the world,” said Sherelle.
Sherelle’s future vision for the college influenced the recent name change. “What truly sets The French Beauty Academy apart is our transformative approach to the education experience,” she said.
The French Beauty Academy will incorporate communication, deportment and presentation skills into their training.
Inspired by this philosophy, the staff at The French Beauty Academy are committed to supporting each and every student on a personal journey to realising their own amazing capabilities, expanding their horizons and fulfilling their potential.
They have also created an exciting arrangement with Southern Cross University (SCU), providing credit for the Diploma of Beauty Therapy, towards a Bachelor of Business majoring in Spa and Wellness Management in 2015. SCU will also support students in securing internships during term breaks at hotel, spa and resort chains which can also be credited towards their Business degree.
