Guinot Institut Paris celebrates 50 years of skincare and anti-ageing this year.
Founded by French biochemist Rene Guinot in 1963, he introduced a professional skincare treatment based on deep cleansing and supplied skincare treatments to Parisian ladies in beauty salons. Monsieur Guinot then set up Guinot Laboratories and designed the first Guinot skincare device using galvanic and high frequency currents along with specially formulated plant-based products to deep cleanse and oxygenate. This procedure was originally called Cathiodermie but later renamed The Star Treatment in 1972. In 2001, this treatment was revised and the new Hydradermie machine was born.
In 1972, Jean Daniel Mondin (current CEO) took over Guinot and contributed a scientific approach to the company with his background in pharmaceuticals.
“Milestones are wonderful achievements and Guinot turning 50 highlights how good things stand the test of time,” said John Pritchard, director of John Pritchard International.
Currently in France there are 1680 Guinot salons. Over the 50 years, Guinot has expanded globally and is now available in 11000 beauty salons across 70 countries.
In 1990, Guinot began John Pritchard International joined the worldwide distribution of this French brand and brought Guinot into Australia.
“The forward thinking of this company has allowed it to develop into the world leader in anti ageing treatments and create cutting edge pharmaceutically graded products and treatments that the modern consumer expects. Guinot will continue to deliver excellence throughout this country and the world,” John said.
Happy 50 years young Guinot!
