Jane Iredale is honoured to announce they have been cruelty-free certified by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC) Leaping Bunny Program.
The Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics is an internationally acknowledged animal protection group for cruelty-free certification. The Leaping Bunny Program recognises and supports companies who are contributing to the elimination of cruel and unnecessary use of animals for product testing and registration purposes.
Companies who are approved by the CCIC international standard for animal testing make a voluntary pledge to remove testing from all stages of product development. Ingredient suppliers to the company make the same pledge to ensure the product is 100% free of new animal testing. All leaping bunny companies are subject to independent audits and commitment is renewed on an annual basis.
The Leaping Bunny logo has been displayed on Jane Iredale packaging as of January 2014.
A commitment to no animal testing has always been the core of the Jane Iredale brand. Due to the EU cosmetics regulation, a ‘no animal testing’ claim on packaging is no longer advisable and is being phased out. Jane Iredale took the Leaping Bunny alternative in order to proudly communicate their standards to a wider international audience.
