Adorn Mineral Cosmetics is partnering with cancer support group, The Warwick Foundation, to present the inaugural Get Spoilt night in Melbourne on July 29.
The free event is an initiative of The Warwick Foundation, which supports cancer patients and survivors aged 18 to 40. Foundation General Manager, Jade McKenzie, said the event will be repeated in other cities and towns over coming months.
“The Get Spoilt nights are about courageous Australians taking time out for themselves, and with the help of Adorn, we hope to re-affirm their inner and outer beauty. Cancer treatment is a gruelling series of tests, injections, good days and bad days, some spent at home, but many also in a hospital bed. It takes its toll on how young women feel about themselves and their appearance,” Ms McKenzie said.
The event is open to all female members of The Warwick Foundation, which itself is free to join.
"Guests can take part in an interactive makeup workshop, relax with bubbly, treats and great company – and learn valuable makeup tips. We have specifically chosen to work with Adorn as we feel their products meet our high standards for health, environment and ethics," Ms McKenzie said.
Adorn Mineral Cosmetics uses only high grade, pure Australian minerals. The products are 100 per cent natural with no artificial ingredients, fillers or skin irritants.
“We are a proud supporter of this worthwhile initiative,” said Adorn Director and Founder, Briony Kennedy. “We believe that empowering women through self-esteem is a very positive influence on healing physically and emotionally.”
Get Spoilt takes place on Thursday, 29 July, from 7pm at Biba, 236 Johnston Street, Fitzroy, Melbourne.
