Bodyography has been selected as the official makeup sponsor for the inaugural Newcastle Fashion Week and will be providing product as well as makeup artists for various parades and events.
The event takes place from September 20 to 25 and will showcase some of Newcastle’s best up-and-coming designers and boutiques through a week of festivities and runway parades.
Newcastle Fashion Week will support local models, makeup artists, hairdressers, students, businesses and the community. All funds raised at the event will go to the Cancer Council to help fund cancer research, while raising awareness to the plight of young adults with cancer.
Rob Tamburro, General Manager, Bodyography, said of the association between the makeup brand and Newcastle Fashion Week:
“Bodyography’s expansion in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley areas has enabled us to work alongside makeup artists and events in the area. We have managed to do this through our own consultant, Donna McMahon, who joined us from Dior. In a short time, Donna has built the brand of Bodyography in that area, allowing us to be chosen as a makeup sponsor for the event,” he said.
“For Bodyography, this is a great step forward, allowing us to support our network and build the brand in the area. Newcastle Fashion week also has a great cause behind it; supporting the Cancer Council which ties in with our support of the Think Pink Foundation. Although [Newcastle Fashion Week] is seen as a smaller fashion week, Bodyography looks at supporting regional areas as well as major cities and looks at this as a stepping stone to future major city events. Bodyography will provide makeup artists, products and possibly a makeover area during the parades.”
