Bodyography Australia is proud to announce the winner of the 2011 'So You Think You Can Makeup?' Front Cover Fashion award to Vivianne Tran of Murarrie, Queensland.
From a young age Vivianne was interested in the creative arts of sewing dresses, painting nails, braiding hair and baking cakes. By age 12 her interest in hair and makeup began when she used to prep herself as a singer in a Brisbane based Vietnamese band. Her desire to help people led her to study Justice at university.
Although she found it rewarding she recognised her true calling to become a makeup artist after being given the opportunity to do her cousin's hair and makeup for her engagement. After being contacted by many friends and family to do their hair and makeup, she then moved on to formally study makeup where she eventually obtained her Diploma. Vivianne collaborates with many commercial events including fashion shows and photographic shoots.
Competition Profile:
With no other competition alike, Bodyography has opened new doors for those with the desire to be the most sought after makeup artist. Already paving the way of future and reshaping the industry, Bodyography has taken the passion of makeup artistry to a whole new level with their 'So You Think You Can Makeup?' competition.
Welcoming makeup artists from all backgrounds of the industry, the countless entries and submissions flooded the Bodyography judging panels with some of the most colourful and creative shoots than the team could have been anticipated.
The long and painful process of elimination saw the top 10 Front Cover Fashion shoots and top 3 Superhero / Villain shoots go through to the final rounds.
The panel of 5 judges featuring Rob Tamburro (Bodyography Australia Managing Director), Lori Leib (Bodyography USA Creative Director), Anne-Marie Cook (Spa Australasia Magazine Editor), Jodie Drago (Bodyography Australia Head Educator) and Michelle Barclay (Pro Lash Director) have scored against a strict criterion to announce the two winners of the $20,000 prize pool. The decision was extremely difficult but there could only be one winner for each category.
Bodyography wishes to congratulate all participants and hopes to see you all in the 2012 competition. Stay tuned.
