Two of Australia’s best makeup artists will battle it out head to head with 40 minutes to create an original look and be crowned victorious in the Battle of the Brushes – it could be you.

Submissions are now open online for makeup artists to join the Battle of the Brushes quest and have the chance to win $6,500 in prizes – simply upload between 5 and 10 images, showing at least two different models and looks.
Prizes include an editorial feature in INSTYLE and Professional Beauty Magazine, a professional photo shoot valued at $2,500 and a website with one year free web hosting valued at $4,000.
A judging panel, including Cameron Pine, Editor INSTYLE Magazine, and Jennie Lewis-Teal, Deputy Editor, Professional Beauty Magazine, will select two grand finalists who will then battle it out brush-style.

When two grand finalists enter the ring, each will be provided with an identical brief, professional models, identical makeup kits and a professional hair team with no more than 40 minutes to create an original look.
This is the ultimate makeup challenge – whose brush will reign supreme?
