Napoleon Perdis and his team flew to the Sunshine State for this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane.
Working behind the scenes at runway shows and the Highlights Parade, makeup maestro Napoleon Perdis flaunted his latest products by incorporating them into his on-trend catwalk looks.
Napoleon Perdis created spring summer looks for these shows: Myer, Bridal Show, Emerging Designers, Brisbane Arcade, Mercedes-Benz Group Shows (1, 2 and 3), NP Trend Presentation and Highlights Show.
Offering the public a chance to get a glimpse of the upcoming looks, Napoleon hosted an event free for all “Napoleon Perdis – Top 5 Looks”. This was held on Friday the 30th of August and proved to be a huge success with flocks of Napoleon fans coming to get a glimpse of how to translate looks from runway to real life this summer.
“Brisbane is one of my favourite cities and such a strong market for Napoleon Perdis. I always leave the city feeling so energised, inspired and so supported by our local staff and customers,” said Napoleon.

1. Expensive, Luxe Skin
A great-looking complexion is more of an enduring classic than a trend, but if you don’t get the base right, nothing on top will look good. Complexion-perfection starts with preparation – skincare and primers are imperative!
Finding a shade that matches your skin tone is the next step, and if you want that really glowing, luminous skin add highlighting products to the high points of the face – cheekbones, brow bone, bridge of the nose and cupid’s bow.

2. Couture Conturing
Nothing makes the face look more fresh and youthful than some subtle contouring. A well-executed contour is modern and incredibly flattering – like shapewear for the face; it should lift and define in all the right places without being seen.
Contouring is a great trick to create definition and slim or lift the face instantly. Sweep the contouring shade directly underneath the cheekbone and on temples using an angled contour brush for precise application. Then, apply the white highlighting shade above the cheekbone, to the bridge of the nose and the décolletage to capture the light. Blend the shades together for a natural look.

3. Eye Liner
Graphic or feline-style liner adds a modern but still feminine edge to a summer look. Work the inner and outer corners of the eyes for maximum impact. Wear with a slight contour on the eyelid or leave shadow-free; this type of liner makes a statement on its own.
4. The Modern Bold Lip
This season’s lip is more about texture than colour, so find something that is comfortable to wear and easy to maintain. It could be a stain, a full cream, a matte or a gloss. Or play with textures and shades to create your own signature look!
Other than application, the most important thing to remember is the Napoleon rule: wear it for 12 minutes before you make up your mind.

Lashes are an easy, no-fuss way to create impact. Perfect for the party season (or any season), they’re impactful worn alone with a bit of liner, or with some shadow-work for maximum oomph.
