Model Rebecca Judd is set to launch Beauty EDU – a new independent beauty school.
Beauty EDU is a joint venture between Rebecca Judd, educational entrepreneurs Ryan and Rachael Trainor and DR Digital founder David Trewern.
Beauty EDU will be offering a one-year Diploma of Beauty Therapy with VET FEE-HELP and also other short courses and master classes. The school contains 3 campus across the country: Melbourne, Sydney and Gippsland.
What makes this school unique is its determined philosophy, Beauty EDU’s vision is to: inspire students to have creative vision, the most up-to-date skills and the business acumen and professional rigour needed to enter the workforce. Beauty EDU’s education model moves away from the traditional approach in favour of developing skills immediately applicable to the modern beauty industry.
As founding shareholder and director of the new Beauty EDU, Rebecca will be involved in the strategic direction of the school. A passionate advocate of the beauty industry, she sees it as a great way to share her knowledge and an opportunity to continue learning from the renowned industry experts offering the benefit of their experience directly to students.
“Our model is built on two key pillars; real industry requirements and ‘hands on’ practical learning,” explains Rebecca Judd. “From an industry perspective, we’re really excited to have some of the country’s most talented and renowned beauty specialists on board as advisors, ambassadors and lecturers.”
Beauty EDU will announce these experts in the coming weeks, and will work closely with them to further develop the curriculum and our master class offering across Australia.
Beauty EDU’s new campuses have been designed by Techne Architects, the visionaries behind iconic Melbourne developments such as the Prahran Hotel, Tonka and Sapient Nitro. At the heart of each campus is a beautifully designed, fully-functional salon, giving students an opportunity to service real clients and receive hands-on industry experience.

Great news because frankly if I was looking to attend beauty school there are very few schools in Australia I would bother to attend. Many of the successful salon owners I’ve spoken to have trained o/s. Nowadays business acumen is key to success.
Real salon environment in a beautiful modern clinic? This is already happening at the Australian Academy of Beauty in four locations across Sydney.
