Celebrity hair & makeup artist and newly appointed Modelrock Lashes ambassador Dale Dorning conducted a Look and Learn workshop on the 4th of December at Adelaide’s Hairdressers Co-op.
Hairdressers Co-op is a membership-based association that provides local hairdressers with professional products at trade prices. With the rising number of hair salons extending their menu by offering beauty services, Modelrock took the initiative to approach hairdressers first and educate them on the art of fake eyelashes.
The intimate Look and Learn workshop was held at the Co-op’s City Studio, staff and members of Hairdressers Co-op attended the workshop where Dale Dorning, Modelrock’s new brand ambassador officially launched the Modelrock range to them. Dale also demonstrated his extensive knowledge and passion for lashes during his lash application seminar.
Guests were educated on lash consultation tips and tricks, lash application and maintenance as Dale performed a demonstration on Co-op City Store manager Elaine Combes.
Elaine was extremely pleased with her transformation: “Dale Dorning’s eyelash training was excellent, one of Co-op’s best studio events to date. Dale generated enthusiasm whilst passing on his knowledge to all who attended. Looking around the room it was clear that everyone was enthralled!”
According to Dale, “lashes are the ‘little black dresses’ for the eyes’ – to create lash volume I recommend applying strip/bar lashes after they have been cut in thirds. I mix up the lash styles so I have all the length at the dead centre of the eye to open it right up.”
“Strip lashes should never be adhered past your natural eye line or they will look false which is what you want to avoid – and be sure to curl and mascara your natural lashes before applying your false ones!”
