With a string of celebrity fans, including Kate Moss, Rihanna, Hilary Swank, Heidi Klum and Courtney Cox, Butter London introduces its spring/summer 2011 collection of colourful impressionist style shades.
Designed by founding creative director Nonie Crème, the new collection is reminiscent of Monet’s palettes, with the inclusion of an opal overcoat that lends ethereal beauty to any shade.
Set to launch in Australia in mid-April, the collection includes Lady Muck, a powdery periwinkle blue; Teddy Girl, a pale retro bubblegum pink; Blagger, a striking cobalt blue; Dosh, a molten apple green with metallic gold; and Hen Party, a sheer opal lacquer.
“There’s a strong move toward retro’ colours this season, with many designers looking at Halston era glamour and style. Although beige and greige nails were still a direction at some shows, consumers want to see something new and exciting on the shelves. Butter London’s new collection is all about pops of colour that feel unique and edgy but relevant,” says Naomi Crème.
What’s more Butter London has just announced they’ll be releasing a new limited-edition nail polish called No More Waity Katie, which pays tribute to the princess-in-waiting Kate Middleton.
The polish is a shade of greige (gray and beige combined) with a splash of lilac glitter. It’s rich, royal and perfect for a princess.
