Several new AI (Artificial Intelligence) and AR (Augmented Reality)-focused digital apps are revolutionising the nail space. YouCam Nail app and Nailstry are providing customers with unique experiences that cater to a variety of manicure needs.
The beauty industry has taken ‘going digital’ to a new level with a myriad of mobile applications hitting the nail space. Business owners and customers can now benefit from artificial intelligence programs with a variety of uses. Users can now virtually try on manicures, get their nails sized for press-ons, and more.
Perfect Corp’s advanced AgileHand technology powers the YouCam Nail app. It is reimagining manicures through live interactive virtual try-ons for nail colour, shape, and art. Users can also create their own designs by customising a manicure on their own hands – or pick from the thousands of readily available styles curated by YouCam Nail app’s creators.
Customers can then share their favourite designs with their nail technicians ahead of their next appointment.
“We are excited to deliver a next level virtual nail art experience to all, facilitating experimentation and providing tools to manicure lovers to design their own stylish nail looks with the latest AI and AR technology,” said Alice Chang, Perfect Corp founder and CEO, in an interview with Happi.
In addition, Nailstry is nail app that sells press-on nails. It contains a virtual measurement tool which accurately sizes each finger to ensure the perfect fit.
Nailstry’s nails are reusable and non-toxic, with wear ranging from two days to two weeks depending on the adhesive used. The app also allows customers to customise their nails by shape and length; and to directly contact a designer if they are looking for something more unique.
