Napoleon Perdis has partnered with the Australian National Committee for UN Women to support International Women’s Day on March 8th.
March 8th signifies the celebration of the economic, political and social empowerment of women globally, while highlighting the work that still needs to be done to break the never-ending cycle of women in poverty.
In support of this cause, all Napoleon Perdis stores and napoleonperdis.com will be encouraging customers to make a $2 donation to UN Women. All donations will be matched by Napoleon.
“One of my core beliefs personally and for my brand is the empowerment of women. My business has been inspired by women, creates products for women, and is largely run by women. After learning more about the work that UN Women do, and reading staggering statistics on how much more there is to do, I needed to get involved,” said Napoleon.
“Equality for women is progress for all!”
The proceeds from this will go towards helping fund girls and women in developing countries out of the never-ending cycle of poverty. The funds will also help UN Women to empower them through education, training and economic opportunities.
“We are thrilled to welcome Napoleon Perdis as a partner,” said Julie McKay, executive director of the Australian National Committee for UN Women.
“The funds raised through our partnership will go towards lifting women out of poverty and transforming their lives. We have a common vision for empowerment and are looking forward to sharing the amazing stories of hope and courage from UN Women’s work with Napoleon Perdis customers and supporters.”
