Australian brand, Nude By Nature, is set to launch its new nasty-free Contour & Highlight Collection this June. Makeup artist, Elsa Morgan demonstrates on supermodel Elyse Taylor how to achieve a flawless look.
You know it’s a big deal when the who’s who of the Australian beauty media turn up for a launch. This week, a very good looking crowd showed up to find out about the latest launch by Australian mineral makeup brand, Nude By Nature – and to meet the brand’s beautiful spokesmodel, supermodel Elyse Taylor who signed on with the brand late last year.
The venue was Icebergs Bar and Dining Room, at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach and the launch was a new Contour & Highlight Collection, a totally natural, mineral makeup collection that promises to embrace a woman’s face shape, rather than correct it.
Launching in June this year, this new collection of highly refined and beautifully packaged products and two contouring brushes has put the focus on skin health. As with all of Nude By Nature’s products, this new line-up boasts irritation and nasty-free formulations, which steer clear of talc, parabens and bismuth. In their place are skin-nourishing Australian natural ingredients including; Kakadu plum, Quandong and desert lime, vitamin E, avocado oil, jojoba oil, shea butter, cehami extract and carnauba. The result is mineral makeup that feels and behaves like traditional makeup, while being gentle on skin and suitable for even the most sensitive skin types.
Overlooking the Bondi waves, and nestled amongst pot after decadent pot of orchids at the Sydney launch this week, makeup artist Elsa Morgan took guests through the range and how to create the stunning, radiant glow she achieved on the gorgeous Elyse Taylor.
“My favourite is the Touch of Glow Highlighter Stick in Champagne,” says Elsa Morgan. “It’s great for adding a bounce of highlight on the high points of the face. I like to buff the highlight stick onto the top of the cheeks, the bridge of the nose, the top of the Cupid’s bow and the décolletage.”
The lovely collection also features a contour palette and highlight palette, each with three different shades, and a contour fluid trio. Well edited and thought out, this collection from the natural Australian brand arms makeup artists with everything they need to create a flawless look without a hint of nasty. (Ideal for when sensitive clients sit down in your chair.)
Morgan says that the range is great for young and old. “It’s about celebrating beautiful skin,” she says of the collection. “The number one thing to always remember is to look at the face you are working on – if the person is older, highlight, but stay clear of contouring. If the face is young, a small amount of contouring works.”
Elsa’s top professional tip? “Use a small amount of product and really work the products in well – this is where the brushes come into their own.”
We know you want it now, but you’re going to have to wait a bit for this. The Nude By Nature Contour and Highlight Collection goes on sale June 2016. www.nudebynature.com
