Between August 27 and 28, The Exchange Hotel in Balmain was rocking with Switch Funky’s Artistic Rock Hard World Tour.
The event, targeted at all nail technicians and artists, was a part of the brand’s educational world tour. Taking education to the next level, the Rock Hard World Tour is designed to be an intensive 2-day training event that involve everything from product knowledge to the latest techniques. Admission was free with every purchase of the Rock Hard World Tour Kit.
The Sydney Rock Hard World Tour class was a phenomenal success that saw more than 70 nail professionals from all around the country (and some international) gather together in one place.
“Nail professionals who attended the event came to develop their skills and knowledge in Artistic Nail Design products with a particular focus on the Rock Hard LED gel and liquid powder systems,” said Peter Lykissas, CEO of Switch Funky.
“Having been in the professional nail industry for 25 years I was overwhelmed by the response to the Sydney leg of the Rock Hard World Tour with more than 100 World Tour Kits sold prior to the event. This tour is the first event of its kind in the industry and has definitely established Artistic Nail Design as a leader within the Australian and global industry.”
Alisha Rimando Botero, executive vice president and creative director of Artistic Nail Design was present and conducted show-and-tell presentations on the latest products. Topics covered included nail design, techniques and how the new powder and liquid can work together.
Attendees were shown how to maximise application techniques with the 2 new systems and also techniques in structuring, designing and applying sculptured nails.
“My highlight for the Sydney event was the multiple ‘a-ha’ moments when attendees realised that the products can combine to create beautiful results,” Alisha said.
“The feedback we received from our feedback forms was extremely positive – the attendees pointed out how much they enjoyed the numerous demonstrations and hands-on opportunities.”
With one down and many more to go, the Artistic team are currently preparing for their next stop, Melbourne (March 25-26).
