Less than three years after opening its first store in Australia, French cosmetic retailer Sephora will open its ninth store this month.
Located in Macarthur Square in Sydney’s south-west, the store will be the retailer’s fifth store in NSW.
Sephora Australia manager Libby Amelia said the company is thrilled to be a part of Macarthur Square’s $240 million redevelopment plans.
She said the launch was “an exciting venture”.
“After such a great reception for our four Sydney stores (Pitt St, Broadway, Macquarie and Warringah), it is clear that there is huge demand for Sephora’s exclusive brand offering in NSW. Naturally we are thrilled to be able to offer our south west Sydney customers the opportunity to experience the wonderful world of Sephora right on their doorstep.”
She said the The Macarthur store will bring south west Sydney beauty lovers Sephora’s most sought after brands (Tarte, Anastasia, Kat Von D, Beauty Blender and Marc Jacobs Beauty) alongside exciting new products from Blithe, Murad, Tarte Skincare and Sephora Collection.
“Incorporating direct-from-the-US fixtures such as the Benefit Brow Bar and Sephora Beauty Studio, customers will have the opportunity to have exclusive, one-on-one access to Sephora’s beauty experts as part of the complimentary and redeemable paid service offering.”
Owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Sephora (which has 2500 stores worldwide) opened its first Australian store in Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall a few weeks before Christmas in 2014. – and launched its local online store less than a year later in November 2015.
The retailer currently stocks more than 40 exclusive beauty brands and describes itself as a “beauty trailblazer” due to “its unparalleled assortment of prestige products, unbiased service from experts, interactive shopping environment, disruptive spirit and constant innovation”.
