Simplicity is Key

As a brand that focuses on nail health, Bio Sculpture Gel has relaunched their Treatment Gels with simplified names to help technicians better understand the role of each product.

The nail industry is often crowded with flamboyantly-named products that lack on the practical side. Taking note of this and wanting to improve product knowledge with nail technicians, Bio Sculpture Gel has decided to action by renaming their Treatment Gels with simple names that also explain the product’s purpose within the system.

Talya Bergmann, Bio Sculpture’s marketing and operations manager explained the idea behind the change: “the name change was designed to better align the products with their purpose in the Bio Sculpture system. Nails differ from person to person – with everything ranging from soft and sensitive to hard and inflexible. Our system has various gels to suit any type of nail, so we wanted to make it clear to technicians in order to help them select the right gel for the right client”.

The name changes include:
Clear Gel becomes Base Gel
Sealer becomes Soft Gel
Flexi becomes Medium Gel
S-Gel becomes Hard Gel
UV Top Coat Gel becomes Gloss

Each gel will have both old and new names on the label for a period of time to help technicians adjust to the change. Rollout of the new Treatment Gels will begin in November 2013.

“We are slowly implementing the change to assist our current technicians who are used to working with the previous names,” Talya said.

The new gel names coincide with a new simplified training system – “our Professional Kit Training is a one-day course that was recently developed by Bio Sculpture Gel creator Elmein Scholtz. She has restructured and simplified the system to inspire and teach Bio Sculpture technicians at the highest global industry standard,” said Talya.

“With the name change, and the simplified training programs, Bio Sculpture will be even more accessible to a wider range of novice and professional nail technicians.”
