BLC Cosmetics announced it has acquired natural Australian skincare brand, Grown.
Grown founders and brothers, Keston and Jeremy Muijs, created the range after becoming aware of the potential harm of traditional skincare formulations when a close friend developed adverse reactions to almost every cosmetic during her battle with cancer.
The brothers consulted botanical experts, cosmetic chemists and skin specialists from the UK, USA and Australia to create a range of biocompatible skincare.
Grown says its products contain 100 per cent certified organic ingredients free from lauryl sulphate, glycols, petrochemicals, artificial fragrance, animal derivatives, T.E.A., D.E.A, synthetic colours, silicones and parabens.
The 100 per cent recyclable packaging is designed to minimise the company’s carbon footprint. Non-leeching plastic bottles and aluminium tubes ensure product integrity and longevity.
Gavin Caganoff, Marketing Director BLC Cosmetics Pty Ltd, said:
"Grown’s organic range of luxurious skincare appeals to a broad audience with its attractive price point, wide distribution and relevance for today’s customer demands and the general direction the industry is heading. From a distributors point of view the brand was incredibly appealing to us, as it can sit in multiple channels without compromising its integrity and has a beautiful story behind it."
