O Cosmedics held a launch at The Winery, Surry Hills, Sydney, this week to celebrate the launch of their new O-Biotic Series. The series consist of two serums containing biomimetic peptides – Stem Cell & EGF Booster Anti-Ageing Mechanism and B3 Plus Serum Niacinamide and Immune Booster.
Beautiful High Tea was served on elegant stands and placed on tables decorated with pink flowers for a grand and feminine launch. O Cosmedics founder Marie Enna-Cocciolone welcomed guests and discussed the new range which she claimed to be Australian made from design to manufacturing, "We are very proudly Australian made and owned – it is hard to source all ingredients and packaging from Australia but we do our best because it is very important to us."
Marie then introduced guest speaker Michael Hill, an ingredients expert and cosmedic chemist who supplies the peptides which go in the formulations. Michael went into detail about how the products work, stating that biomimetics ultimately mimics life – the structure and function of the skin. “Cosmedics can talk to the cells when the skin is not listening in a way that cosmetics can't and results in optimum cell function,” he said, “the serums are able to penetrate the outer skin through their transdermal delivery system.”
He likened the effects of O-Biotics to Botox saying it’s “like a Botox injection, but on a drip, it’s a topical application that sends messages to promote muscle relaxation, resulting in a more youthful appearance."
Currently available in both Australia and New Zealand, O Cosmedics plans to take their products on to the international stage in the future.
