Sothys Paris expands their partnership with French luxury cruise company La Ponant.
La Ponant is a French company who specialise in the art of yacht cruises – offering a sophisticated ‘a la francaise’ lifestyle on board. Their clientele prefer personalised cruising services over large ships. The company wished to align itself with a French brand that had extensive distribution worldwide and therefore approached Sothys earlier in 2011.
“The partnership commenced April 2011 on one boat, l’austral, since last summer we have been selected to equip the whole fleet of sisterships – 3 to date and more coming,” said Christian Mas, a director at Sothys.
Sharing a vision of offering luxury and personalised services to their clients, Sothys spa body and face treatments will now be available on more Ponant cruises and yachts.
“La Ponant is the perfect partner for Sothys, in terms of image and quality of service. The boats, le Boreal, l’Austral and le Soleal have only 130 cabins which means max 250 passengers, with five star service which enables the therapists to dedicate themselves to each customer as well as cutting edge cuisine, small group excursions, cultural activities. It shares a common value with Sothys and the French art of living,” Christian said.
“There is a real exposure for the brand through the partnership, the therapists are regularly trained directly in Paris, and are the brand’s best ambassadors that fully respect all of our protocols. It is incredible, that with the compagnie du Ponant you can receive a Sothys treatment at either the north or south pole.”
Having the Sothys brand and products available on board provides exposure for the brand and introduces clients to Sothys services in hope that they will continue their relationship at their local clinic or spa.
